Bio:

Melanie Krimetz began her musical journey in early childhood when she attempted to “figure out” what vocal harmonies were made of. Her endeavors caused her to stumble onto her extraordinary gift for musical creativity and started a love affair that has never dwindled since. Armed with passion and determination, Melanie threw herself into the study of her first instrument, the piano. Soon, her talents gained her recognition an the local level and she began performing in solo and group settings. It was the winds of divine intervention, however, that carried her to the Natomas Performing and Fine Arts Academy where she was challenged to begin writing her own original songs. From her very first tune, Melanie has developed into a blossoming songwriter and poet. She strives to diversify her style, reaching into the depths of the blues, riding on an acoustic wave, or exploding with the energy of a pop-rock band. Her lyrics are raw, sincere, and hopeful. They confront listeners with the realities of life, whether they be pleasant or uncomfortable, yet always offer the hope of redemption. Appearances range from the grandeur of the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. to the small coffee shop around the corner. It doesn’t seem to matter if a band is behind her or not; when Melanie takes the microphone, passersby stop to listen. In the pursuit of perfecting her musicianship skills, Melanie Krimetz has become not only a songwriter, but a composer and recording musician as well. She proficiently composes and/or notates instrumental and vocal parts, and the experience of recording her own demo tracks has given her a knowledge of the recording process for future opportunities. With the attitude that a musician’s education is never finished, Melanie Krimetz never slows to meet the end of her journey. She is always eager for fresh perspectives and new challenges to undertake. ..
