Every morning as long as you open your eyes, whether it is or brown or green or white or yellow outside the window you'd be best-advised to smile that your heart is still beating, your lungs still expanding
and you ought not to think of the paycheck at the end of the week or the house that's larger across the street or the way you want people to remember you when you're dead,
but to think instead of what this moment holds in store for you and then this and then that,
the flitter of the eyelashes, the flex of a finger, the sound a spoon makes when it falls in a porcelain sink . . .
and you'd be best-advised to hold onto none of this too tightly

All my best and thank you again, Matt (the bass player) Cross Timbers
I know! I need more gun-totin girlfriends around here! school is going pretty well this semester- I'm just taking an 8-week genealogy course, which has captured my interest and is much more practical than the classes I was dealing with last sem. It leaves a lot more free time to spend with my S/O and dog, so that's great. Are you making plans to escape the corn state?
loved the weekend bulletin, lady! hilarious and so true. thought of you and wondered how you're doin yesterday when I was shootin handguns in my yard. ;) Too bad I'll miss ya next week when you come to Calmar- I'll be in Mpls. for a librarian conference. Maybe in April...

Hey Melanie! I'm booking live music for the Oneota Co-op Grand Opening April 4 & 5. Unpaid, but great exposure & a good cause--and it's women's weekend out in Decorah so will be busy. You interested in a 60 minute set? Let me know! We have a PA. Also, Michelle Lynn is playing that Friday at Marty's if you dont have a show taht night & want to catch one of hers...
Love the photo, hot stuff! All is well in the nation's schlong, but it's only half-erect since you left. sigh. Come visit, damn you! I'm outnumbered by remedial New Englanders!
