About me:
A former law clerk, I taught myself writing and photography and went freelance. After I completed a four-month photo junket through the USA and Canada, I signed on with a Madison Avenue photo agency. Ivor Sharp, an award-winning photographer and commercial film director sponsored my membership in the Canadian Association of Photographers and Illustrators in Communications (CAPIC), an organization he co-founded.
I undertook a two-year year journey around the world on motorscooter MELAWEND to promote frienship & communication. During the journey, I negotiated sponsorships with major companies including American Honda, Japan Airlines, Minolta, and Kodak Canada.
After the journey, I spent the next 12 years writing the book about it: IN THE LONG RUN - A Hopeful World Odyssey - (http://www.melawend.com) which has received wonderful reviews from readers (http://www.melawend.com/reviews1.htm)
My articles have appeared in magazines and newspapers internationally including Cycle World, Japan Journal, The Straits Times (Singapore) and Rider magazine.
I am currently writing a novel.
If you have any questions or comments, I'd love to hear from you.
All the best to you in your continuing odyssey through Life!
