Once upon a time I used to go to a classic gaybar every weekend. Every Fridaynight there was a special show with male striptease dancers. Suddenly I flirted the sexiest dancer. His name was Joerie. We dated a few times, until he eventually showed his guitar. I thought by myself; we could have a lot of fun with such toys, so he began to play. It felt o so good. I screamed and screamed. This was pure pleasure... But then we recognised that this sounds pretty good. A little sweet angel came to see what the noise was about. We kept on playing and playing..until we died. This angel took us with her to heaven, and showed us her tricks. I never thought a angel could make such evil music. In the middle of the night a lonesome boy sneeked into our room and kicked everything he could hit. I screamed, the gaybar dancer grabbed his guitar and this evil angel droped the bass. We were banned out of heaven and came back on earth. And now we are melilotus.. and we're yearning for pleasure..

Gebonden door hun onderlinge vriendschap, de stad Utrecht en een voorliefde voor harde indierock besloten enkele leden van We vs. Death, Stellenbosch, Kismet en Dawn of Awakening in 2004 om The Walt op te richten. De gedeelde vriendschap en passie voor muziek resulteerde in melodie en melancholie, deinend op de harde beat van de drum. Live presenteren de jongens een harde, intense show.
