I don't listen to artists that have a style too similar to my own so that I avoid being too influenced by them. It's never good to sound too much like anyone! I listen to Modest Mouse, Wilco, Muse, The Flaming Lips, Man Man, Cold War Kids, The Bravery, Straylight Run, The Zutons, Gwen Mars, The Gourds, Marc Broussard, Soul Asylum, Franz Ferdinand, John Legend, Wolfmother, etc..... And I just hope that some of their musical genuis rubs off on me!

My name is Melinda and I'm a singer/songwriter from NJ. For me, music is all about the emotion. Songs should make you FEEL something. That's my goal when I write songs.... to make someone else understand and feel what I'm feeling. So take a few minutes and listen to some of my songs and hopefully they will make you feel something other than wanting to turn them off :)

Troxelville is about 30 min from Selinsgrove or 30 min from Lewistown.

very sorry i wasn't able to make it in person tonight. i was doing some extra work. i sat around all day and technically i could have arrived at your show at 8 although i would have been a little out of place in a tuxedo and a big clothes bag. so i went home and i was tired
