About me: Mid July UPDATE: My calendar is updated (at my website). If you have questions, you can also find many answers already posted over at my site or at the WL fansite
The readers at the fansite have set up a forum so I can do Q&A. I try to stop in there abt once a week to answer more questions.
I will, of course, continue to answer as many letters as I can, but there's only one of me. So, let me say it here too--Thank you all for reading, for asking such interesting questions . . . and for letting me know your thoughts.
THE BIO BIT:
Formerly: lit teacher, bartender, waitress, et al
Currently: novelist, tattoo junkie, museum fan, & photography dabbler
I am under contract with HarperCollins for 6 Young Adult novels. The first novel, WICKED LOVELY, is out in the US, Canada, Germany, the UK, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, & Spain. Debut week in the US it hit the NY Times Bestseller list. It stayed there 11 weeks. . . during which time it also hit the LA Times list & the Spiegel List in Germany.
It will also be published in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, & France. I am quite honoured to see my text at all of these lovely places.
The second novel, INK EXCHANGE, will be at the same places in 2008 & 2009. [Yes, it is set in the same world, since so many of you ask that--and no, it's not a proper sequel. It tells the story of the Dark Court.]
The sequel to WL (FRAGILE ETERNITY) will release in 2009 in the US & UK.
I'll also have a short story in the anthology LOVE IS HELL (HarperCollins US, Fall 08) and a 3-book manga series that will be out in 09 (from TokyoPop).
For Harper Eos (adult) I'll be doing an anthology (summer 09) with Kim Harrison, Jeaniene Frost, Vicki Pettersson, & Jocelynn Drake.
I'm out on tour & events & research & relaxing very regularly . . . and sometimes I sleep.
NOTE: MySpace Background Graphic by my absolutely brilliant tattoo artist, friend, and sometimes business partner, Paul Roe. You can see more of Paul's art at Britishink
..
Who I'd like to meet: people with passion--be it for ink (on any canvas), words, wisdom, thrills, whatever. I live for feeling that lovely sensation that the butterflies are swarming inside my skin trying to find a way out. It's good fun to meet people and learn of their passions & stories.
NOTE: For both ethical & time constraint reasons, I CANNOT read your unpublished novel (or excerpts on your MySpace page). Thanks!
OTOH, I love being a fan. I am regularly enthralled by beautiful visuals & sounds, so feel free to send me "wanna listen to my music?" or "wanna look at my visual art?" invites. Enthrall me, please. I like it. Just no invitations to read, okay?
