Just a quick flyby to say I finished "Harry, a History", at 1am this morning. I absolutely loved it!!!! I actually ordered my copy in April when I found out about it.
I work in a bookstore and have influence on what some people buy. I have spoken to all my Harry friends there(I'm hitting HPANA, where I'm a regular, next) and spreading the word there too. One of my co-workers just bought it because I just told her she had to. I have been championing it for christmas gifts for every Harry Potter fan. I'm trying to get my hubby to read it, so he can try to understand. Fingers crossed on that one.
I'm getting ready for Beetle and then I will begin Harry adain, as I do every holiday season. Thank you for writing a wonderful and informative book. Janell
I got your book for my birthday (the day it was released) and from the minute it was in my hands all other presents were forgotten...I was even caught reading it while hiding in my bedroom during my own 30th birthday party.lol.I just wanted to take a minute to congradulate you on your wonderful success along with the love, research, and respect with which you put that wonderful book together...see you at LeakyCon!!!That's what I got as my combination birthday, and Christmas present...tickets to Boston and LC! I am part way thru the chapter - Spinning the Web in your book and I just wanted to pop in and say how much I am enjoying it so far. It so dang wonderfully written and knowledgable. Your writing about the HP fandom makes me miss Leaky. Congrats on the book and the success it is and will be.
I haven't listened to pottercast in awhile, and I remember listening to the last show before you took a break to finish writing your book. I saw it at Borders the other day! Congratulations!!! Can't wait to read it

Remember Archie, anyone? One of the many fond memories I have of my mother is that she always brought home Archie comics from yard sales! This one is funny because it seems like something I would do!
