I was greeted to this world in 1987 by an intellectual father who earned double academic degrees, always looking smart wearing his English braces and French cuff shirts, and a wonderful bohemian of a mother, dressed in vintage finds from thrift shops and a life-long student of Jean-Paul Sartre and existentialism. My father's dad (my grandfather) boarded a ship in 1929 to find his fortune in Alaska and returned to the Philippines in 1947 where he bid to dance with his future bride (my grandmother) at a town fiesta. My mother’s dad (my Lolo) was a Spaniard, who studied in New York and graduated summa cum laude from De La Salle and FEU in the Philippines. My mother’s mom (my darling Lola) was born in Hawaii of a Portuguese mix father and a Burmese mix mother from Saigon. My Lola spent twelve years in a conservatory studying to be a concert pianist under German and English professors.
In my early years, I thought I was part Eskimo because my dad was born in Alaska and my mom was always joking that he lived in an Igloo. We raised four Rhode Island Red chickens (Henrietta, Matilda, Baby and Pollyanna) in the backyard and my mom grew tomatoes and basil on the side. On Sundays, she would make omelet’s from the fresh eggs, tomatoes and basil. She played old Edith Piaf songs during our garage sales and spent more time talking to the old people who stopped by to listen to the French chanteuse. To this day, Edith Piaf is one of my favorite singers. My parents have taken me and my family all over the world; from trekking on elephants in the rain forest of Northern Thailand to hiking up Machu Picchu, the ancient Inca city at the top of the South American Andes. We’ve stayed in a third floor Parisian flat during the cold of winter, using the balcony as our refrigerator and eating cheese with ham and just candles lighting the room. While in Vienna, I performed a clarinet solo outside the Schonbrunn Palace. I have been served High Tea at the Ritz, kissed the Blarney Stone, watched the nude sunbathers in the south of France, and have had my hair braided in the Bahamas.
Singing is my passion and most of the time I do it in my room with the door closed. Yet, I have also had the opportunity to sing solos and perform at the Kodak Theater, Hollywood Bowl, UCLA Pauley Pavillion, LA Sports Arena, The Genghis Cohen, and various other venues. I like to sing Jazz and cabaret but I’ve also been writing since I was 14, and if you just so happen to stop by a café in the evenings, you might see me singing. I am influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Edith Piaf, as well as pop singers like Whitney Houston.
I know it’s not much money, but sometimes I imagine myself a lounge singer in the future.

Yo Ho Ho...
How's stuff? We're cooking along into June now & got some out of town
shows lined up for summer, but as far as this crazy town's concerned-
looks like Old Towne Pub is the place. We just can't seem to stay away
from that sweet lil hole. We're playing there this Thursday with some
friend bands and plan to pack the place for some freaky-cool times &
beer. Come out already! It will RAWK & then you can go back to life as
usual with some spring in your thing.
