I always, always, every moment of my life have some song in my head. (Do you?) (Seriously: do you? Are there people who don't?)
Movies
Team America World Police. The Triplets of Belleville.
Fight Club. But that's all, I only like three movies. I especially don't like this movie... nor this song... nor the band who performs it: Fitter. Happier. More productive.
Television
West Wing. Project Runway. Scrubs. 6 Feet Under (the watered-down Bravo version). **Arrested Development**
Here's a clip from Scrubs - I saw this & immediately thought of Tenor-Sax playing Greg. And then I had a J.D.-esque dream sequence of this very scene but with Greg doing the beef-boxing. AWESOME.
Books
Favorite one from last summer: Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Also semi-recently read Augusten Burroughs' "Running With Scissors." Highly recommend. Went to Borders last week and was distraught to learn that I had already read everything David Sedaris has written - but did find a David Rakoff that I'd not yet read. May I please quote a passage where he describes the experience of meeting a snotty designer while reporting at a fashion show: All of the designers I have met up to this point have been very nice, although upon being introduced to Karl Lagerfeld, he looks me up and down and dismisses me with the not super-kind, "What can you write that hasn't been written already?" He's absolutely right, I have no idea. I can but try. The only thing I can come up with at that moment is that Lagerfeld's powdered white ponytail has dusted the shoulders of his suit with what looks like dandruff but isn't. Also, not yet having undergone his alarming weight loss, and seated on a tiny velvet chair, with his large doughy rump dominating the miniature piece of furniture like a loose, flabby, butt-flavored muffin overrisen from its pan, he resembles a Daumier caricature of some corpulent, inhumane oligarch drawn sitting on a commode, stuffing his greedy throat with the corpses of dead children, while from his other end he poops out huge, malodorous piles of tainted money. How's that for new and groundbreaking, Mr. L? Some people can just turn a phrase. Here's a sunrise by my house:

Heroes
Oh, we did a whole show about heroes last Spring. And what I learned [cue sappy music] is that Anyone Can Be A Hero. No but seriously: every member of the Colbert Nation is a hero.
This kid is my dancing hero:

Hey, Thank You!!! It took a lot of work and time to get everything proper. I think it wouldn't been pulled off without your help with the making of the Talent Show. Indeed, without any practice it was pretty good. Eh, couple mistakes didnt really matter. Seeing the expression on your face when the piano fell was cool!!! Thank You, and we had a lot of fun at Theater Practice. Have a great weekend!!!
