MELLENCOUGAR was created by a group of musicians that are inspired by the music of John Cougar Mellencamp and are guaranteed to put on a great live rock show. Don Wilson, the band's lead singer, is no stranger to performing in front of audiences. Don has been involved in "stand up" comedy, he's an established radio personality, most recently with 95 WIIL ROCK and has MC'd numerous events from Chicago to Milwaukee. Scott Metzefeld is an accomplished guitarist and performer, and has played in several Milwaukee area bands including the band Lever Action. Dennis Martin is also a seasoned musician; his musical abilities include guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, percussion and vocals. Dennis has played in numerous bands including Damn The Torpedoes, and Empty Pockets. Tom Kief is on bass guitar- he is also the Morning Show Host on the Tom and Lisa Morning Show on 95 WIIL ROCK. Sue Rudny brings soaring harmonies and beautiful fiddle to the show. Our Lead Guitarist tandem of Scott Nelson and Howard Rudny play for Chicago bands Sliver and I.R.S. respectively. Our drummer, Dan Hanni has been playing drums for over 15 years; sometimes with his shirt on. MELLENCOUGAR has performed on stages from Milwaukee to Chicago including The House Of Blues, Blarney Island, The Fuel Room@ Austins, The Legendary Brat Stop, 115 Bourbon Street and many area summer festivals. We have opened for the likes of Night Ranger, Blake Shelton, Eddie Money, Spin Doctors, and Dennis Deyoung from Styx.
