About Meller

After two studio albums out on famous labels such as AP Records and Tribal Vision Records, and beside thirty-six single released tracks - Crotus Records integrates itself into this row by releasing Mellers brand new artist studio album "Spacewalk".

The Meller guys aka Marco Scherer and Dj Mel demonstrate a solid and groovy-funky music collection of their contemporary stage of music impression and feeling. It is dirty, groovy and funky but also a crystal clear production line of the nowadays standards. The listener will experience a spacewalk through 10 previously unreleased tracks in a developed style of proggy psytrance.

It sounds refreshing & special and therefore it is the sound you been searching for on these big outdoor festival speakers where your body starts to shake and shiver while you dance to the groove of Meller.

Meller aka Marco Scherer and DJ Mel represents a fusion of hard rocking tribal trance and bold progressive sound. Meller doesn't follow typical standards of electronic dance music but reflects the prefered styles of the producers in a rude mixture without frontiers or puristic boundaries. The Meller liveset is programmed strictly for the dancefloor and holds numerous psychedelic elements for brain stimulation as well as a massive amount of energy.

liese	May 30 2009 12:08 AM Meller are two german guys, Marco Scherer from Hessen and Dirk Herrmann aka DJ Mel from a small town close to Hamburg. On their third CD are crossing the border between progressive trance and fullon. It’s a progressive head on fullon shoulders – smooth sounds from the prog stable are used to great effect in creating some real dancefloor killers, that keep the spirits positive and never get too dark and menacing. Sometimes they are using samples that I think i am listening to some old SNAP tracks, but always with deep bass lines and pure psychedelic madness all the way. While it’s full-blown “proper” psy, there’s also a nice array of tricks and explorations that sets this above the formulaic 4/4 mulch out there. Everybody who likes real psychedelic and derwish dancing- check it out. (liese)
