Mellifluous is all about a few boys who came together through a love of music, life and drinking beer.
We had the pleasure of meeting each other through mutual friends and connected on the common ground of being all about playing music and enjoying the moment.
We live in Western Australia, in Yallingup and Dunsborough. Our roots are hardcore New Zealand. Nathan Wilson and Nick Campbell hail from Taranaki, West Coast NZ. Paul Perrin and Brice Taylor hail from East Coast 'Paeroa', world famous for its natural beauty.
Our music is deeply influenced by all the New Zealand roots music that touched our souls and minds as we grew.
Our music as we make it is affected by our lifestyle, the beautiful beaches we get to surf everyday and the friends and family who share their love of life with us.
Over the last year Mellifluous have been busy playing shows all over WA, including some great support shows with TZU on their WA tour, and BANAWURUN who ventured over from Brisbane.
We were lucky enough to be asked to play at the ISLAND VIBE REGGAE FESTIVAL on Stradbroke Island off Brisbane. We were greeted with open ears and it was a huge privilege to share the stage with Kiwi heavy weights KATCHAFIRE, LITTLE BUSHMAN, and OLMECHA SURPREME, along with Aussie greats ZENITH, KINGFISHA, and BANAWURUN.
Performing at The MARGERET RIVER PRO with SIMON KELLY and a slot at the FESTIFUL OF FUNK with Aussie greats, KATALYST, FDEL, and BEEVA FEEVA were all great gigs to remember. Mellifluous have been busy delivering there Kiwi roots and reggae music to the world.
