Melllvar was born in 2005, in Benevento Province (Italy), by an idea of Pierluigi Cerulo, Giovanni Pirozzolo and Giovanni Simiele. The band initially played instrumental Progressive Rock, taking some characteristics of Dark Matter (the band of Giovanni P. and Pierluigi) music. In 2006 were written the first lyrics and the music of the band was acquiring some peculiar characters. In 2007 Melllvar disbanded and then was reconstituted with a new line up. Giovanni P. left the band in June, Cesare Simiele became the new guitarist-vocalist and. Melllvar continued its activity as a trio. With the arrival of Nicola Vetrone (another Dark Matter component), in place of the bassist Claudia Caporaso, Melllvar rediscovered its initial instrumental rock vocation and there were also the first attempts to contamination with other musical genres (mainly with Jazz). After the winter of 2008, Melllvar finished its first demo, called "demo 1" to remark the magmatic nature of its music, grounded, for the most part, on improvisation. Starting from the month October 2008, Melllvar became a solo project, led by Pierluigi Cerulo, after his moving to Zurich (Switzerland). The second demo CD, called “Ground Control” collected some material recorded with the band, a free jam session, and three solo records, among which, the song “Steel”, completely made by applying effects to signals generated by the computer. In April 2009 Melllvar gives birth to its third demo: “Hyperspace Trip”, more oriented towards the Space Rock sonorities and with more improvisations.. The second track was recorded during an improvised jam session with the original line-up of the band, taken during the summer of 2008.

Melllvar wurde in 2005, in der Provinz von Benevento (Italien), geboren, durch eine Idee von Pierluigi Cerulo, Giovanni Pirozzolo und Giovanni Simiele. Die Band spielte am Anfang Progressive Rock Instrumentalmusik, nehmend einigen Eigenschaften der Musik von Dark Matter (die Pierluigis und Giovannis Band). In 2006, die erste Texte waren auch geschrieben und die Musik der Band begann besonderen Eigenschaften zu erwerben. In 2007, Melllvar löste und war neu gebildet mit einer neuen Formung. Giovanni P. ging im Juni, Cesare Simiele wurde den neuen Gitarrist-Sänger und Melllvar setzte als einen Trio fort. Mit der Nicola Vetrones Ankunft, an der Bassistin Claudia Caporaso Stelle gekommen, Melllvar entdeckte ihre Anfangsberufung zu Instrumentalrock wieder, und es gab auch die erste Verderbtheitsversuche mit anderen Musikarten (hauptsächlich mit Jazz). Nach dem Winter 2008, Melllvar endete ihre erste Demo-CD: „demo 1“, so genannt zu unterstreichen die magmatische Natur der ihren Musik, auf Improvisation besonders gegründet. Ab Oktober 2008, Melllvar ist geworden einen Solomusikplan, von Pierluigi Cerulo geleitet, nach sein Verlegen in Zürich (Schweiz). Die zweite Demo-CD, genannt „Ground Control“, sammelt einigen Aufnahmen mit der Band, ein Free-Jam-Session, und drei Soloaufnahmen, unter anderem „Steel“, ganz gemacht mit der Anbringung von Effekten an Signalen mit dem Computer gezeugte. Im April 2009 Melllvar gebärt sein dreie Demo-CD, „Hyperspace Trip“ genannt, die mehr bezogen nach die Klangfüllen der Space-Rock-Musik, und mit mehr Improvisation ist. Der zweit Titel aufgenommen im Sommer 2008 mit der originale Formung der Band wurde.

Invio conferma iscrizione, specificando nome, genere, myspace, provenienza componenti e contatti ; tramite blog [www.caverockfestival.tk ]. La conferma della partecipazione al festival verrà comunicata in tempi previsti. Ogni band si esibirà per 20/30 minuti. Si richiede almeno due pezzi inediti.
Il Cave Rock Festival è un concorso per artisti emergenti di vari generi musicali, dal Rock (Indie, Post, New Wave e chi più ne ha più ne metta) al Punk, dal Pop al Metal (Nu, Alternative, Progressive…), dal Reggae e dallo Ska al Cantaurale e al Folk.
