Once upon a time, there was a band called Mellotron Overdrive, made up of 2 people both called Dave. One on guitar and the other on drums. They wrote many songs, gigged many times and recorded lots of music in a studio with a man called Andy, to very good reviews. However Mellotron Overdrive's usual gig attendance level was normally around the 0-5 mark. Therefore, they split up to do other things. But they left 4 of their songs on here for you all to download if you like the noise. Joking aside thanks to all of you for supporting us, if anyone wants a CD with all our stuff on it drop me a message i'll post one to you. Im sure we'll be back sooner or later, but for now... Mellotron Overdrive, what can we say? From the thumpy remain in light, to the incredible Deleted Scenes, this two piece band are our dark horses to succeed. If you haven’t checked em out… Why Not?! You wont regret it, Mellotron are ones to watch for the future.

Definite sparks of disco, funk, & death metal are evident in their sound, and for a 2 piece band they have such talent and variation that other more established 2 piece groups such as 'Big Business' and 'The White Stripes' should feel ashamed of their limitations.

Thanx for the comment, yeh that was one of our favourite gigs so far mainly because the sound was so good, hopefully we'll be back soon. We're doing a gig @the Bar Academy in Brum this Friday if you're free come down and bring some mates. x
