MELLOWDRAMA

Bio:

Paul Raukar and Jason Foucault have been playing music together since 1993, in the band PORTUGESE BOOTS. In 1995, they formed BAD HARVEST with Paul Brunner and Jeremy Hill. We practiced in Cherry, South Grove and Buhl. Raukar, Foucault and Hill started dating 3 girls in the same circle (why this is important is still a mystery, but for some reason it's legend in this band) and Hill left the band in 1996 to dedicate 100% to his girlfriend. Ever since, we have been known as MELLOWDRAMA. We formed in Sparta and now practice between Eveleth and Virginia. We write rock songs. We play rock covers. We had a following. We broke-up for about a year and lost that following. We are gaining a following once again. We play an average of 4 shows a month (2 weekends a month). We are like an old married couple. We are best friends. We put up with each others quirks. Look at the track record of the average Iron Range rock band. They disintegrate after a few years or the "main" member starts playing with a drum machine and backing tracks. We have maintained the original line-up for over 11 years and there are no plans to quit. We all have distinct personalities and we have been known to drive each other crazy. But, at the end of the day, we all cross that finish line together (damn what a horrible metaphor). We have enough stories to fuel 11 episodes of VH1's 'Behind the Music.' So, we'll entertain you with blog entries.
