About me: Well let me see. I am the oldest of two children, the youngest being my brother who now is a minister. I grow up as a loner and really to this day, I still am a loner.
I, by the grace of God, got through 12 years of high school and actually graduated by the hem of my pants. I attended a 2 year community college because people wanted me to go and I actually came away with an A.S. Degree in Physical Education. Because getting that A.S. Degree wasn't so hard, I decided to test the big dogs and got accepted to Middle Tennessee State University, better known as MTSU. Of course when I went to MTSU, I was already old, age 22, and I wanted to get my 4 year degree in Physical Therapy. After reality hit me that when I would finish in Physical Therapy it would be 4 years later, I decided to change my major and went with Office Management.
Along the way, I meet up with this great group of ladies who were down to earth and just plain fun. These ladies would later become my extended family 4 life. Namely the Lovely Ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. I agreed to join and was really pissed off during the pledging month of March 1987 because I was taking orders from 18 and 19 olds and I was the only one pledging.
Needless to say, joining that sorority was the best thing that ever happened to me. It made me a stronger, wiser, outgoing and extremely easy going individual. I did get my degree, a B.B.A. in Office Management and moved back to Columbia.
I got a job as a receptionist for a local bank which has now gone nationwide and eventually worked as a teller. In the mist of all these changes, I started Typing programs, business cards and term papers for individuals and started my own Typing Service. I am a biker and I ride a 1999 Kawasaki Ninja 250. Unfortunately I haven't rode in 2 years, but within the next month I plan to be rolling again. I have a Son named Emanuel. He was born 2 weeks early and has CP (cerebral palsy) and was given 72 hours to live. With the grace of God and many, many prayers from everyone, he is now 13 years old. I love him with all my heart and ask for your continued prayers.
I am a single mother of one child and living life one day at a time. I just wanted to share my life history with everyone, because it has been an interesting story for me.
There is one phrase that is true all the time and that is "God Is Good All The Time, and All The Time God Is Good." Just remember that and you will make it no matter what happens.
