Hi there! Let's chat tomorrow if you have a chance. I would like to see when I might be able to take Joey for a little bit during the next 2 weeks. I also have a funny question about Santa that I need to ask you.

    Bridezilla alert!

Blurbs

About me:

I'm a happily married 33 (ok, it's updated Cathy. Happy now?? hahahaha) year old mother to four of the most beautiful children on earth. My husband and I love to just hang out with our kids, our families and our friends. I love to read, write, sing and cook. I try out all sorts of new dishes on my family and ask their opinion. Jerod loves everything I cook...my son not so much. My oldest will try anything at least once.

I like to throw parties at our house for family and friends. I'll find any excuse I can to entertain.

My hubby is the most handsome man I know. My heart still flutters when I get a look at him. He is a very talented guitar player. He's a computer geek and I love that! He works very hard to take care of all of us and in return I like to think I take good care of him. We've been twin flames since we were very young, but didn't get together until much later. We both had a lot of growing up to do and that makes us better for each other today than back when we hung out in high school. We have the best family and friends anyone could ask for.

I'm pretty wound up most of the time whereas my hubby isn't. It's a good match. I tend to be very nosey and curious about everything. I get sulky when I don't get my way (or mad, just depends). I'd like to think I'm a pretty loyal friend, a good mom and a good wife. I'm the "take care of things" person in our house. I cook, clean, budget, cart the kids around. I work part time and I'm a Mom full time and I love it.

I have four of the best kids on the planet. Two beautiful, charismatic, artful, intelligent girls and two handsome, charming, rugged, intelligent boys. I home school my kiddos and enjoy all of the time we spend together.

I have discovered that I love to garden and in an effort to make my families world a better place have decided to take my family on a journey into a self sustaining lifestyle. It is my goal to grow as much of our own produce as possible right here in our own yard. Give back to the land. Making a greener life for all of us by cutting out as much garbage as possilbe.

I'm still searching to find who it is God wants me to be. I sometimes take life too seriously. I suffered postpartum depression for almost 2 years after my 3rd baby was born and it turned my way of thinking upside down. Instead of separating me from my husband and from God it brought me closer to both. I finally had to realize that I cannot do it all and that sometimes I do just need to lean...sometimes even just crumble. I'm a better person today for it.

So there you have it. Me in a few paragraphs.

Who I'd like to meet:

Jesus. What an awesome dude! My new niece, Anna

Interests

  • General

Church, Jesus, cooking, reading, singing, writing, gardening, homeschooling, parenting.

  • Music

I love all types of music, but...I'm a country girl at heart. sshh...don't tell y'all! Anything folk...John Denver. Give me a little System of The Down, Godsmack, Metallica too. Bad Religion. Worship music. Anything I can sing to.
  • Movies

Terms of Endearment. By far my most favorite tear jerking chick flick. Also, the Notebook was awesome too. Everyone should love like that. Swordfish is great. Shoot em' up...absolutely crazy. The Labyrinth "Goblin King! Oh Goblin King!" Lord of The Rings...all of them start to finish in one day. It's the only way to watch them.Dogma, Jesus Christ Superstar, Stand By Me, Savannah Smiles (thanks Dad), Children of a Lesser God, Babel, Crash, Stomp The Yard (the dancing was awesome),
  • Television

We don't really watch a lot of tv in our house. Well the kids don't anyway. We only have a tv with cable in our bedroom. But if a list is necessary here it is. Family Guy, George Lopez, CSI, NCIS, South Park, Robot Chicken, Numbers, Good Eats, Iron Chef, LA Ink, Spongebob
  • Books

I've been reading a lot of educational books lately trying to keep up with teaching the kids. The Bible. Irresistible Revolution by Shane Claiborne. I read a lot of magazines. Tons of children's books. If you don't have kids find a friend, brother, sister, cousin etc who does and read to them. It's a nice visit back to childhood.
