Melodic Blue was formed in March of 2008, when Lead Singer Jamie Nicholson was given an offer to wright some songs for a indie film, the film got dropped but decided to keep it rockin'. So put a band together and put out our EP World>Power. Teamed up with Drummer Jason Hagan (Front Line Assembly/Noise Therapy), Guitarists Rob King (Hybrid Cartel/Flood), Brian Bresett (Crystal Pistol/Nemesis Gypsy/Cartels),Bass player Brad Crocker from(Sasha's Aura) and Singer, Jamie Nicholson from ( Nemesis Gypsy/Sasha's Aura) With this much talent in the room it’s no wonder that their hard rock sound has been describe as “Alice and Chains meets STP, dark and dirty yet extremely smart and radio friendly all at the same time.
Melodic Blue’s debut EP titled World> Power, recorded in Vancouver BC at The Farm Studio (Scott Ternan) and help from (Garth Richardson), was released in March 2009. 5,000 Copies were pressed and are being distributed, by the band, to fans all around the world at no charge!
In the short time since the release of their EP they have had the opportunity to play at some great venues such as The Hard Rock Café, The West Coast Tattoo Show .
