About the courses.......
The academy offers one to one tuition on turntables with vinyl or cd decks with mp3s..
The courses offer all the skills needed to take the first steps into djing or to develop existing skills to take yourself further..written feedback and tasks are given at each lesson and a personalised demo cd is produced at the end of the course which can be given to promoters..
Doesent matter what kind of music you are into either..a change is welcome!

Who I'd like to meet: A bit about me...
Seriously into music from an early age..collecting a varied selection until i fell in love with house music..chicago house then to be precise! This extended to a true love for clubbing..
I found myself increasingly in awe of the djs and this made me realise that djing really was something i wanted to pursue....
When i started out there was nothing like the academy,no dj courses that i knew of. I would have found something like that so beneficial because about from no djing knowledge ..i had major confidence issues! This is such an important part of djing..after all you are entertaining hundreds of people (how scary)
After many many hours of practicing i managed to gain some confidence in what i was doing and began my tireless pursuit of promoter pestering............!
I have been resident at the mighty Speedqueen for 9 years now (best night ever) and have been lucky enough to play at many venues including gatecrasher summer sound system..tall trees..miss moneypennys..love parade..miss-behave..the mint club....to name a few!
The purpose of my academy was to use my 10 years of dj experience and channel it into encouraging others to take their first steps into djing. I wanted to aim it predominately at females as i found i had to work much harder to prove myself and prove that girls do it just as well (if not better ha ha) than men.......
Fortunately it is not so much a male dominated profession anymore but still i think some girls are intimidated and a little scared to go for it!
The academy has been running over a year now and i have had some amazing students who have really developed into fantastic djs! (more about them later)
The courses range from beginner to intermediate and are run over six sessions for 2 hours a time (other options available)
