Bio
Melody Den's been around in this basic incarnation for about 10 years with Dave, John and Marc. Had a few different folks in and out, but the basic sound's stayed pretty much the same. We're really happy Jerry's put up with the crap so far. Marc writes songs that are, for lack of anybody coming up with some kinda genre descriptor, midwest roots music. Sort of thoughtful garage played purely for the hell of it. .... If we wanted to make money at it, we'd be touring more and sucking up. But it's not about that. Never has been. It's about writing, playing and doing something 'cause you just have to. .... Enough philosophy crap. The new record was released in AUG 07. Roy Kasten (of RFT and Perdition Records infamy) and Joe McMahan (of Kevin Gordon, Jennifer Niceley, Webb Wilder, Paul Burch infamy) produced it. We mixed in Nashville on Joe's '70s MCI board, same deck used for "Rocket" and "My Life In the Bush of Ghosts." That was cool. You can still see the coke residue on the faders. .... Right now, you can pick up the album, in a gorgeous Digipak© design, at ..Euclid Records.., ..Vintage Vinyl.. or order online through our secure friends at PayPal and Perdition Records. $12 shipped. Also through ..iTunes.. or ..CD Baby.., if you prefer..... .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... -
