"You can’t judge a book by its cover, yeah right. I really think that the back image of this CD would have worked better as a cover to be honest! I guess the illustration they chose would be fine if they were playing psychedelic rock or something, but they don’t!

MELODY GROVE & THE MOVEMENT from Los Angeles is an interesting band with their musical influences deeply rooted in the 70s glam rock scene (BOWIE, SLADE, The SWEET…)! The opening song “The Warming Enticement Of Love” can only make you move your feet or shake your head and there are big chances that “The Sea Sky” will please every British rock lover out there! “New Blues” is one of my favourite tracks, a catchy 70s rock tune with good melodies!

You can also hear a bit of DARKNESS in the vocals and in the guitars (“Open Doorway”) as well as old school (real!) R&B in the band’s music too. Although, there seems to be a bit too much vocals and too many arrangements at times, this mix of complementary female and male vocals reinforces the band’s identity for sure. You can also find a bit of early QUEEN grandiloquence in a song like “Ambering Green”. You should keep an eye on this band! We will!"
