Books
it's hard to choose -- I've read so much, especially lately since I've been in the Master's program in English. Believe it or not, I actually enjoyed James Joyce's Portrait of a Young Artist and a trippy book called Nightwood by Djuna Barnes. Two books I'd never normally pick up to read at a book store! but sometimes I like the light fun reading!
Heroes
My Mom, my kids, the Beatles, John, Paul, Ringo and George...anyone who goes for it and follows their dreams.

About me: yooo check it this is megan, my momm lefft her myspace up so i decided to tell you some stuff about this WONDERFULL woman. She is 51 yrs old which means yes, she grew up in the best and wild times; the sixties in of course the best place ever san fransisco which makes my mom a hardcore hippie she loves music and going to see legit classic rock bands that keeps the whole 60s alive, she also plays guitar herself personally i think she should keep her day job =P just kidding! My mom is multi talented, she doesnt let her adult ADHD get in the way haha =P Oh yah where was i..yess my mother MARY/melooody also is a BRILLIANT writer she mostly writes about real experiences in her own life but twists them somtimes, anyways, her writing is incredible if u ever get a chance to read her blog you should take it and love it cuz she will blow you away with that text. Now just basics, well my mother is pretty laid back, she tends to get stressed more now adays but who doesnt with a crazy ass teenager like myself?! :D haha srsly i would HATE to have to raise me..ahh tourture..anyways..yeah my mom puts up with alot and when i say alot...i mean A LOT of stuff and she puts her family before anything, she has such a genuine huge heart and i know she means the best for alll. We laugh at the weirdest things and i can open up to her about almost anything. Its great to have a mom you can actually hangout with and not want to kill her by the time were done. i always know at the end of every day she loves me and will do anything in her will to make sure i am safe and thats what makes me happy and going every day, what makes me go to school, stay clean from drugs, and follow rules. SHes the perfect mother, friend, anything you could ever ask for she is there. SHes a great person to have in your life and im so thankful i have a mom like this to help me through my addiction and my harships and just life in general cuz it truly is just as hard as it is plus more. I owe her my life because without her id just be nothing. Thank you god for blessing me with this angel to by my mother.

My Favorite Local Bands!
We're fortunate to have cool ones right here in the SF Bay Area!
Joe from Full Throttle ROCKS on drums!
FULL THROTTLE!!!! I stumbled on these guys at a festival in Mountain View, and I've followed them as much as humanly possible ever since. These guys rock! They stay totally true to classic rock n' roll from the Beatles to AC/DC! they even rock out the old classics like Hey Bulldog by the Beatles, Walkin' the Dog, I'm Not Your Steppin' Stone and a fantastic rendition of the Who's Baba O'Reilly (Teenage Wasteland) in which the lead and rhythm guitarists do all the keyboard parts on rock guitar, wow! They even pull of Led Zeppelin 'cause the lead singer has the awesome voice to do it!
THE SUN KINGS! Wow, these guys don't dress like the Beatles, but they invoke the SPIRIT of the Beatles music! They are my heroes!!!!
THE MEGATONES! You want variety, you've got it with these guys who can play almost anything! I especially love it when they play the Doors and Stevie Ray Vaughan! The lead guitarist is my long-time guitar teacher Mike Sult. This is a great high-class band -- hey, they won the 2007 Last Band Standing Competition on 98.5 KFOX.
THE FINAL FOUR!! A brand new band just gettin' started. These guys play nothing but 60's music -- mostly the older Beatles music, which I love -- and some other 60's songs thrown in. I saw them for the first time at Mel's Bowl a couple of weeks ago. Their lead singer and rhythm guitarist, Brian, is a friend of mine from my writing class. Rock on, guys!!!
WHITE ALBUM ENSEMBLE! Another awesome Beatles tribute band -- they mostly play the actual albums as they were on the records. I've seen them several times and have always been "wow'd" by them. the last time I saw them at Music in the Park in San Jose, Drew Harrison from the Sun Kings sang all of John Lennon's vocals, and they performed the Beatles songs from all the eras including Across the Universe! That was a fantastic show!
BLUE HOUSE! I stumbled on this trio at the coffee shop. They perform a lot of their original music which is great -- and have a total 60's and 70's feel, keepin' the spirit alive!
There are some other cool local classic rock bands as well, including Groovy Judy, the Mechanical Snails, Mamaluke, The Floyd Project (Pink Floyd Tribute) and a few other cool ones as well!
Check out our 2007 Holiday Road Trip Adventure! It all began on Christmas Eve when we followed Santa and Mrs. Claus across the Golden Gate Bridge (in a red Jaguar convertible)
..
Live life to the fullest. Follow the Dream!
Who I'd like to meet: ...cool people who are non-judgmental -- people who like the Beatles and classic rock music, and like-minded writers like me!
