I love music, and I attend a fair number of concerts as well. U2 is my top favorite band, I have been a fan of theirs since 1983 - I won't say how many concerts of theirs I've been to! Radiohead is close behind, while I'm not as personally invested in them as I am with U2, their music sweeps me to another plane. I also like Pearl Jam and R.E.M., and have enjoyed The Killers, Coldplay, Springsteen (the stuff with the E Street Band), the Verve (R.I.P.), Arcade Fire, the White Stripes, Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, Madonna, Prince and so many more that have caught my ear through the years. I also enjoy 60s/70s soul/Motown.

During the summer of 2006, I fell stupid in musical love with the voice and talent of Magni Asgeirsson, a finalist on the show Rock Star: Supernova and frontman for the Icelandic band A Moti Sol. The voice just melts me, and it helps that he's an excellent musician and a great guy as well. He's released his first solo and English-language album, which is available on iTunes, Amazon MP3s, Snocap and just about every other digital music seller around the world! We're also begging him to tour the U.S. again on his own! Check his music out on the player below and on his MySpace (he's no. 1 on my Top Friends), and video of him performing some of the tracks are on my profile.

About me:
So...what about me. The basics are already covered in other areas here. I'm a dead average person, but one that does not fit into some of the stereotypical boxes people are put in. I refuse to call myself middle-aged, because I don't think I act or think like a typical middle-aged person. I feel straight culturally, but I know my heart doesn't place gender boundaries on who I love. I'm a 3rd generation on one side/1st generation on the other, Latina that is proud of my heritage and feel at home with it, yet I don't speak Spanish very well, and often feel like I'm outside that culture looking in. My politics are definitely to the left, yet there are things I dislike about the left as well as the right. I am very spiritual, but religion doesn't feel right to me. There is no better feeling in the world than being with someone you love intensely, but I also cherish solitude immensely.
And, I chase rock stars. :)

Who I'd like to meet: On the celebrity tip, I've already met all the ones I wanted to meet, although one can never meet Bono too many times. Alas, I didn't get to hook up with Eddie Vedder in Hawaii so he's still on my list. Members of Radiohead too. Otherwise, I have no idea, I guess I'll be surprised.
Thanks for adding me as a friend. I trust that life is treating you well? If you get bored you can check out some of my photography on my profile.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend!!
