About me: Meltdown started in 1986 with the aim of encouraging new acts to learn their craft, established acts to experiment, and audiences to experience a melting down of barriers between all sorts of music and performance.Recent gigs have included Hot Puppies, Fernhill, Victorian English Gentlemans Club, Physicists, Naughty, Drunk Granny, Pagan Wanderer Lu, Vibration White Finger, Threatmantics and Christopher Rees. In former years we've had Catatonia, Rob Brydon, Attila the Stockbroker, Sian from Kosheen, and a clutch of folk who later evolved into Super Furry Animals, take the stage.In our 20th year, we're still going strong, finding more and more wonderful music to bring to the beautiful people of Cardiff.
NOTE FOR ARTISTS WHO WOULD LIKE TO PLAY MELTDOWN!!! As you can appreciate we get a lot of requests from artists wanting to play at meltdown events. As such, it is sadly not always possible to reply to individual queries from this myspace site...we will try and listen to as many myspace demos as possible though! TOP TIP: Regularly attending Meltdown nights armed with quality demo's can sometimes work in your favour!
