Meltdown Retreat

The annual Meltdown Retreat is a weekend retreat which features guest speakers from the UK, USA and Europe, relevant seminars and two nights of bands. The event is the only of its particular kind in the UK. All styles of heavy music are on offer in a superb live venue. Prices for the weekend include full board accomodation and food. The Conference usually takes place in November, and further details about bands, speakers, dates and prices are available on the Meltdown website. Previous guests have included legends such as Michael Sweet (Stryper), Kemper Crabb, Michael Bloodgood, Tim Bushong (American producer) and Doug Van Pelt (HM Magazine). This year's guests included Pastor Bob Beeman, and Belgian hardcore band For The Day of Redemption. Note that the conference is more like a good fellowshipping and informal meeting of friends, than just another festival. The Meltdown Retreat is the Christian hard music event of the year in the UK.

Greenbelt Festival

For the past three years Meltdown have been granted permission by Greenbelt to take over Stage 2 for two afternoon hard music sessions. The Meltdown Sessions usually take place on Saturday and Monday afternoon and last for three hours each. This means that we provide Greenbelt with two hard music stages with a line up of the best of the UK underground hard music bands. Occasionally we manage to persuade European bands to participate in the Meltdown Sessions. We are still booking bands for the 2009 hard music stages and applications from bands are welcome via the Meltdown email address.-- mail@meltdownmusic.co.uk

Artist Management

Meltdown has managed a number of artists and works with bands within the Christian recording industry, and also with bands that play in either the secular mainstream or the secular underground rock or metal scenes. Previous and current bands include succesful underground & commercial acts like Seventh Angel, Gen, Through Solace and loads more.

Other Services

Meltdown has organised separate live events in the past including one-off gigs and tours. Meltdown has also organised In Tune, a conference offering free industry advice to Christian bands and musicians.
