Melting Vinyl is committed to bringing the cream of live music (national and international) to the sunny shores of our beloved home town. We've been doing this for twelve years. Whether its the 80 capacity The Albert or the 600 seater St Georges Church, we promise there will always be a bill to catch your eye. We have a very broad mix of music from personal taste to music you want to hear: electronica, indie guitar, nu-skool singer-songwriters, trash, garage, hip-hop-pop, experimental... the list is endless... enjoy.
Who I'd like to meet: We are small but well run operation that promotes up to ten shows a month in the high touring season, up to five in the low touring season, the best way to contact us is via e-mail: general-enquires@meltingvinyl.co.uk
Have a look at our website before you send in demos to see if you will fit. We don't tend to have the support bills for small out of town bands; Brighton does have a incredible store of decent local bands, who we try priority to regularly promote, especially folk that come along to our shows, alongside acts from all over the world.

Static Rain is a 2 piece band from the beautiful Yorkshire town of Keighley. Band members Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow formed the band in 2008, driven by a joint passion for both electronic music and retro synths. The music they produce can be described as electronic pop with catchy choruses and memorable riffs that are prominent in all of their songs, making them popular with a very wide audience. Following their initial success on MySpace, Static Rain continues to build a solid fan base and a strong reputation as a live act. The band is currently looking for gigs from August 2009 onwards throughout the whole of the UK.
