The Melvin Beddow Big Band, is a band based in Rayleigh, Essex.
The band has a vast library of numbers playing the best of Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and vocal numbers from Frank Sinatra and many more.
The band is lead by Steve Robinson, a professional drummer who teaches, and has performed in various productions
The Melvin Beddow Big Band, in it's present form was created in 1991 following the retirement of its the Musical Director, a well known music teacher, Mr Melvin Beddow himself.
The band is available for hire for concerts, functions & dances
