It all started when Christian Young was kicked out of Solitary Confinement. He still wanted to play music, but didn't have a clue with who. Then, Joe Hitch started to jam with Christian and they started coming up with some pretty killer riffs. Not to long after that Christian was contacted by Jake McSurley, asking if he would like to get together and jam sometime, nothing serious. Well it took quite awhile for them to actually set something up but they did. Christian decided to bring Joe with him. They all started jamming out and it was like they had been playin together for 10 years, it just flowed. That same night all three of them got really hammered and decided on the band name. Christian had brought up the idea of Memento Mori, something he had wanted to use for a long time, due it's meaning and the fact that it just sounds goddamn cool...you know it. They all agreed on it and it was done. Travis Jones enters the picture now. Needing a bassist he stepped up, never playing bass a day in his life. Trying to keep up with the complex riffs that Christian and Joe threw at him, was a challenge but he took it on and showed them what was up. Glen Anderson. Many words can describe this man. He is at times the best and worst frontman out there. After conflicts between Christian and Glen boiled over he steeped into Memento Mori to grace them with his voice. Things with Travis didn't work out the way the guys had hoped so they had to let him go. Old time friend of Glen, Christian, and Joe's, Tommy Harm began thumpin' away on the bass for them. The entire band is set now, and there is an undeniable brotherhood within this five-piece. Now in the writing stages for a full on album, and shows to follow they are a band that will not be ignored...
