About me:

Gentlemen, welcome to M.I.R.T., a profile page for and about men, run by men, for men in the recovery process. WE welcome guys from any and all recovery programs, or simply searching for a network of men in the recovery process to talk with, befriend, or assist them on their way to a healthier lifestyle. Here at Men In Recovery Together, WE recognized the need for a place where guys can go and share their experience, strength and hope, as well as have an outlet for support, blogging among others like us, and exchange of ideas and feelings among other men without female influence or opinion. WE wanted to give men a safe place, free from our usual network and outside our immediate living area to broaden our search for help with the daily grind and growth WE begin, and continue, to experience as WE take our own personal journeys into a new way of living.

Who I'd like to meet:

12 step members from different fellowships or non-12 steppers, religious, spiritual, non-religious, substance abusers, gamblers, over/under eaters, sex addicts, those dealing with emotional issues, etc. are ALL welcome HERE! Sexual orientation is not an issue with us, however WE do ask that there be no fighting over women here, as well as bickering between ex's. This page is here to help, not hinder, one another in recovery. WE encourage our fellow brothers here to use our blog section as a forum among the members of this site. All blogs (except those posted specifically for outside viewers) will be marked as "friends only" blogs to protect the members' anonymity and allow the authors of said blogs to feel safe and secure within the group while looking for insight and feedback from the brotherhood. WE do ask that you do NOT allow female friends, girlfriends, female family members, the occasional "fuck buddy", ex's or friends' ex's, non-M.I.R.T. members, and the like, to read the blogs our members post. What's written here, should stay here. If a fellow brother is caught dishonoring this request, he will be eliminated from the page without warning.
