So to our final yet everlasting event.
Anitra and Nicodemus's 'Erotic Vampire Ball' at Le Caberet.
According to medical theory, vampires must consume ten pints of blood every day or their blood cells will die. Worshippers of Mephistopheles and Asmadeus were present in perfect funeral attire at this midnite gathering of the living dead. On top of this bizarre twist to South Beach nightlife, scenes from the lipstick lesbian cult movie 'The Hunger' were acted out by a three-way inamorato of striking likeness.
The mutual affinity lay behind the Venetian-styled masks as a black haired Bowie replacement escorted the delicious duo around the dancefloor. Provocative, lustful and sheer fetish, the Victorian ballroom setting enlivened the impassioned proceedings.
Watching with awe, we witnessed Nicodemus taking nuptial vows with his faithful concubine Anitra, condemning her to living death and to eternal hunger for living blood. Far from Transylvania, the Prince of Darkness chanted his offering of eternal, everlasting love. 'Walk with me to be my loving wife forever. Drink and join me in eternal life'. Flashes of Belle de Jour and The Hunger merged in Catherine Deneuve splendor, both roles united in the highly charged sexuality that took ordinary people from their regular lives into a secret life of unspoken desires.
Sounds of Rachmaninoff, Orff and Underground rhapsodies, this was surely not the Age of Innocence. Dimmed lights, dripping candlelabra, all added to the principles of lust with harnesses, handcuffs, lace and chains. Partygoers were appropriatly and inappropriatly attired, circulating with primeval grace. Poor is the man whose pleasure depends on the permission of another, we downed blood red wine and listened to Anitra's high pitched acceptance to Prince Vlad, blessed by the unliving.
