My name is Mensur, and I was born in Hara City in Ethiopia in 1969.
I have always enjoyed music, it was as a child at school that I first realised my passion for it.
I completed my higher education at Harare senior school in 1985. I decided not to carry on to college as I wanted to concentrate on Music. I moved to Addis Ababa and worked for Ghay construction enterprise as a general purchaser.
In 1986 I was part of the Masnoy band, which played cultural and modern music. With this band I played concerts that drew big crowds.
I played with a number of instrumental bands, Addis and the Express band being two of them.
It was at this time 1990 that I wrote and realised my first of 14 albums. My music is mostly love songs. I am influenced by new experiences and things that happen in my life.
I moved to and lived in Kenya for six year from 2000 to 2006.
In 2007 I came to live in Brighton, England I am now working on my next album. In the future my main hope is to play and share my Music with as many people as possible.
