Mental Effort nace de la idea de tres jóvenes albaceteños; Pablo (antiguo guitarrista y actual cantante), Agustín (batería) y Martín (guitarrista) que para el mes de Septiembre de 2005 deciden juntarse para empezar a tocar algunos temas de sus grupos favoritos.
Tras pisar el escenario por primera vez, el grupo encuentra en él lo que andaban buscando, la emoción de estar frente al público enseñando el trabajo que tantas horas les había costado.
Al cabo de dos años el grupo se queda sin local de ensayo y se marcha al polígono industrial a un local de alquiler, en el cual entraron a robar unos individuos. A pesar del mal trago, el grupo no se vino abajo, luchó y consiguió salir a delante con un nuevo local y renovando el equipo perdido en el robo.
Tras algunas caras nuevas por el local, un antiguo amigo del grupo coge las riendas del bajo y Pablo decide apartar la guitarra para ponerse a cantar. Con Pablo de cantante el grupo consigue tocar en Murcia impresionando así a todos los espectadores. Tras este éxito, Mental Effort decide que tienen que crecer y para ello un reciente amigo del grupo, Jaro se cuelga la guitarra y empieza a formar parte del grupo.
La dinámica del grupo empieza a comenzar, el grupo ya tiene más experiencia, el nuevo guitarrista añade nuevos riffs, sonidos e ideas con una guitarra de 7 cuerdas, algo totalmente innovador para el grupo.
En marzo del 2008 el grupo se estrena en Albacete en la sala La Competenssia , concierto en el cuál lograron completar el aforo máximo del local.
El grupo cada vez iba creciendo más y deciden grabar algunos temas con la ayuda de "Juan Myung" que haciendo un espectacular trabajo nos consigue ayudar en estas grabaciones.
Desde entonces, Mental Effort dio algunos conciertos más en la ciudad y en algunos pueblos de los alrededores.
Llegó Octubre del 2008 cuando, guiados por la ilusión, deciden componer un tema agregando una voz femenina. Buscaron y preguntaron a gente conocida, pero no daban con la clave, hasta que un día Jaro presentó al grupo una vieja amiga suya, Ana. Cuando la escucharon se quedaron asombrados con su voz, y lo que en un principio pretendía ser una colaboración, acabó siendo el sexto miembro del grupo.
A partir de entonces, el grupo ha seguido dando conciertos y presentándose concursos causando entre sus oyentes una gran expectación.
Todo el esfuerzo de este grupo no serviría de nada de no ser por todos aquellos que desde un principio han estado apoyando al grupo.

Mental Effort was born from the idea of three guys from Albacete; Pablo (last guitarist and actual singer), Agustín (drums) and Martin (guitarist) for the month of September 2005, they decided together to start playing some songs from their favorite bands.
After stepping on stage for the first time, the group founds it good looking for the thrill of being in front of the audience showing the work that had cost them so many hours.
After two years, the group left the scene and they went to an industrial local for rent, in which some people came to steal to this day. Despite the bad shot, the group collapsed, and was fought out in front with a new building and renovating the equipment lost in the robbery.
After a few new faces on the local, an old friend of the group takes charge of bass and Pablo decides to put aside the guitar to sing. Pablo singing with the group manages to play well in Murcia impressing all spectators. Following this success, Mental Effort decided they had to grow up a recent friend of the group; Jaro hangs the guitar and starts to join this group.
The dynamics of the group starts to begin, the group already had more experience and the new guitarist added new riffs, sounds and ideas with a 7-string guitar.
In March 2008 the group premiered at Albacete in La Competenssia pub, a concert in which managed to complete the maximum capacity of the pub.
The group was growing increasingly more and decided to record some issues with the help of "Juan Myung" that doing a spectacular job in helping us get these recordings.
Since then, Mental Effort gave concerts in the city and some surrounding villages.
In October 2008 when, guided by the illusion, they decided to compose a song by adding a female voice. Searched and asked people known but did not give the key, until that one day Jaro presented to the group an old friend of his, Ana. When they heard her, were amazed at her voice, and who originally intended to be a collaborative ended up being the sixth member of the group.
Since then, the group has continued to give concerts and competitions appearing among his listeners causing great expectation.
All the efforts of this group no point if not for all those who from the outset have been supporting the group.

- También, a su vez, podéis leer ya el comunicado oficial de la banda, debido a los accidentes que ocurrieron en el primer Zurre Metal Festival, donde la banda tocaba como cabeza de cartel.
