Mentalist is one of the newest names to come out of the UK's rap scene. He is one half of the group PROBLEM FAMILY alongside LOUDMOUTH Under the Hand2Mouth Label. Mentalist has been played and spoken highly by some of the UK'S BEST hip-hop DJ'S. From the BBC 1XTRA'S DJ Semtex, MistaJam, Sarah Love and Rodney P and Skitz to Choice FM's DJ 279 and Kiss Fm Dj Mk AND Shortee Blitz. He also has been played by undergound pirate stations finest like SK Vibemakers and Dj Poser and DJ Limelight . Born in the Caribbean island of Trinidad, The Mentalist moved to East London in the early 90s where he has remained since. Watch out for Mentalist to drop his solo Album OPEN SEASON In 2008 which will feature production from Loudmouth, his brother K-Nite and Smasher and Lewi White, Goodchild plus more. This along with the Loudmouth Yardstick which is dropping this summer also will serve as a warm up for the Long awaited Problem Family album which is going to be very very sick.
