Born and raised in Providence, RI, Merc fell in love with Hip Hop listening to the likes of Big Daddy Kane, Eric B & Rakim, EPMD and so on. He began to DJ at the young age of 14. By age 16, Influenced at the time by producer DJ Premier who had the sickest beats and the illest scratches, he took interest in producing and saved up enough money to buy his first sampler, the classic SP-12. With a whopping 5 seconds of sampling time, you best believe that he made the most out of it creating some incredible beats. As time went on, he continued to build his production arsenal til today where he has his own recording studio (Boiler Room Studio) in Providence, RI. Today he is a member and one of the main producers for the group M.E.A.L. Ticket (Music Entertainment And Life). Along with fellow producer Dj Condadon, the two have created the SWITCHTAPE concept which is soon to change the mixtape game. With an original sound that is crisp and refreshing to Hip Hop, you best believe you..ll continue to hear more from this talented producer for years to come.
