MERCENARY COCKROACH

Bio:

MERCENARY COCKROACH, a grind core band from Pula, Croatia was formed in april 2004 with Mrki (Extreme SV, Bolesno Grinje) on guitar, Sebo (Suffer) on drums and Dragan (Homo Homini Lupus, Nulla Osta) on bass. After only a few weeks, Robi (Extreme SV) came as a singer.
From a side project, band become a growing ambition rehearsing more serious and writing grind core songs with furious vocal lines. With enough songs to record first demo, CD "Steps to Nowhere", we invited a long time friend Ivo (Suffer, Oblivion) to play solo part on one of the songs, but after just a couple rehearses, it was quite obvious, that Ivo will be a full time member of the band. Looking back, we can say that at that point Mercenary Cockroach truely started.

Playing live shows on metal gatherings and summer festivals in the region, band soon became well known and respected from the people of the grind/metal scene. At the same time we were receiving a lot of good responses to "Steps to Nowhere" demo. After a while, an invitation came from the "Endless Brutality of Men records (Mexico)", to let out a split release with Bolesno Grinje, our friends from Pula as well. In 2007 killer split CD release was out!
More shows followed and news songs have been made, but unfortunately never recorded. With years new responsabilites came along, so there was less and less time for rehearsing, recording and playing live shows...
Eventually, because of personal problems some members couldn't find enough time to carry on with growing band responsabilites, so we decided to put Mercenary Cockroach on hold, waiting for better times...
With live perfomances and split release with Bolesno Grinje, Mercenary Cockroach certainly left a mark on death/grind core scene.
