Mercenary Mediums (MM) is a full service multimedia production house in Austin, TX dedicated to providing original promotional and commercial products to recording artists and the entertainment industry, while also bringing a unique sensibility to products necessary in the business and corporate arenas.

BIO

Mercenary Mediums began in 2003 as branding for the work of producer/director Adam Schlender. It has since evolved to encompass the talents of multiple craftsmen and provided its services to the likes of PepsiCo and Anhueser-Busch. The 2006 merger with Austin-based graphic and web design studio Omniscient Empire and the subsequent addition of its founder Walker Walmus to the creative consciousness of MM has forged a very special and dynamic mechanism. We are now equipped with the imagination and tools capable of rendering unique all-encompassing, cohesive, multi-media expressions from the minimalist to the most grandiose in scope.

We believe life is worth loving what you’re doing. We want to share our love with you.

Emily	Feb 27 2007 9:43 PM Austin Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble (A.M.D.E) will premier The Hotel, a captivating story of a scorned lover’s plot for revenge. AMDE’s first ever multi-media production and the first of its kind in Austin will be showing March 1-4, 2007 at the Boyd Vance Theatre located in the George Washington Carver Center. AMDE choreographers Erin Mayo, Emily Torgerson and Fiona Wolstenholme teamed with Adam Schlender of local film production house Mercenary Mediums to create this unique tale of vengeance, seduction, humor and murder. “I’ve never really seen nor worked on anything like this, a live dance performance that weaves in video clips to artistically enhance the story,” said Schlender. “This show has really paved the way for a new collaboration between dance and video in the Austin arts scene.” Torgerson explained that they wanted to break away from the norm with this show. “There are no costume changes; no character names…we even built a working elevator for one of the film shoots!” The first ever multi-media dance production of its kind in Austin, this show will captivate any audience member with its seamless transitions from dance to film and a variety of music from Jazz to cinematic scores. There is also the myriad of characters from Ms. Blue and her entourage to the chic hotel maids with an attitude. This is definitely not your grandmother’s ballet.
