   About Mercury Machine
Mercury Machine, in the simplist form are a multi-talented electronic dance outfit that fuse the sounds of the old 70's and 80's guilty pleasures with exciting, up to date beats and soulful melodies using a collective of gifted vocalists including their one in house singer. Evolving in 2008 from a loose collective of friends, MM solidified to become a more core group of 3 individuals Lee Maguire, Liam Hitchen and Laura Simm. Lee and Liam met in 2003 and from the outset, became very aware of each others passion for music production, but it wasn’t until 5 years later that they realized they complimented each others production styles perfectly. Lee, with nealy 3 decades of experience as a musician, drives the production forward with his multi-instrmentalist talents, patience and attention to detail, whilst Liam, more the engineer with a scientific approach to creating unique sounds , educates himself with the latest techniques to aid Lee in his moments of genius. Laura Simm was introduced by MM manager Carl Shelly after hearing her sing in a Manchester venue, appreciating her potential, she was soon brought to MM’s Manchester studio for recording sessions. Each MM track starts as a captured vibe, a simple form of a song with improvised vocals and music, the tracks are then built by moulding a myriad of different ideas together, its an organic process that evolves over time, until finally perfecting the tracks, where the melodies are carefully crafted by Lee Maguire. Now time for MM to start taking themselves a tad more seriously as the first few tracks start to take some real shape. MM are happy to announce they will be promoting their first tracks,'Together Now (Hand in Hand)' and ‘Ecstacy Game’ in the summer of 2009!
