Hi Meredith, I really enjoyed seeing you & Craig in action tonight whilst languishing in the ambiance of Cafe Divine chomping on a fine pizza with some tasty Belgian ales. Possibly the first time I've seen an actual real live ukulele virtuoso too. I enjoyed the set immensely I missed most of the first part due to technical problems, maybe I could identify about three tunes out of five, (The Liberty Bell/Sweet Georgia Brown/St.Louis Blues/12th Street Rag(?)/Black & White Rag(?)/ My Blue Heaven/ California Here I Come... maybe a few other familiar ones I can't name, and a few unfamiliar ones) Also lovely to have met you, albeit briefly Regards,
Girlfriends and Sisters Week I am only as strong as the coffee I drink, the hairspray I use and the friends I have.
To the cool women that have touched my life... here's to you!
National Girlfriends Day What would most of us do without our sisters, confidants and shopping, lunching, and traveling girls? Let's celebrate each other for each other's sake! TO MY GIRLFRIENDS!
If you get this twice you know you have more than one girlfriend.
Be Happy! PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO ALL OF YOUR GIRLFRIENDS AND RETURN IT TO THE FRIEND WHO SENT IT TO YOU
No, I wish! I found it on some French site with humorous pictures. I don't know where THEY got it, because it appears to have been taken somewhere in the U.S.
Does anybody know when and where this photo was taken? Or who this guy is? Or what he is talking about?
no, regrettably I found this photo on some humor site, and I thought it was too good not to repost. I would love to know who this is, where and when this was taken, and what the hell he's talking about.
"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
