Born in Dothan Alabama, Meredith Lane McCarson started singing at the very young age of 3. Her parents say they knew she had a love for music when they would hear Meredith singing harmony to Amy Grant songs in her carseat! Meredith grew up going to her daddy’s southern gospel concerts and found her love for music grow stronger everytime she saw him on that stage. Meredith says her daddy is one of the main people who has inspired her to pursue her dreams and has always been one of her biggest supporters. Growing up as a minister’s daughter, Meredith moved several times, but always remained an Alabama girl. Throughout her schooling, Meredith sang her heart out at sport events, talent shows..etc. and made sure she expressed her love for country music to everyone she came in contact with.
She was named “Most talented girl” for her senior class of 2006. She has entered several competitions, including fairs and festivals… her most recent major competition was the 102.7 Colgate Country Showdown. Hundreds of demos were sent into the radio station and Meredith soon found out she had been chosen to compete with 9 others in the competition for a record deal. Meredith’s demo has been chosen for the Colgate Country Showdown now three years in a row! Meredith met singer/songwriter Jon Miller (Jon Miller Band) back in 2007 and has been songwriting and singing in several different venues around Alabama. Jon invited Meredith to become his co-host of “Country Twang T.V. Show” on Comcast channel 6. Go to CountryTwang.com for more details! Jon also let Meredith record one of his songs called “ Trading Me For Us” .
Meredith is currently songwriting more and learning guitar. "Just Not the Same" is written by Meredith Lane/Jon Miller. Meredith hopes to get the new songs recorded by the end of this year at the latest! The two unedited songs "I Wonder" (originally done by Kelli Pickler) and "One Moment More" (originally done by Mindy Smith) were Meredith's first two songs she ever recorded in the studio at the age of 16. She wanted to put a little piece of her past in the music list for her listeners. Summer of 2007, Meredith interned at a recording studio on Music row and fell in love with Nashville TN the first day she arrived! She knew this city was where her heart was at! After completing her 2nd internship in Nashville at a publishing company summer of 08', Meredith will not hestitate to tell you, "It was the best summer of my life!" and to top off that internship, she was offered a chance to return once again at the same publishing company! She has now completed 3 internships and networked throughout every summer. She plans to move to Nashville summer of 2010' and start her career!
She is now starting her senior year attending the University of Mobile and has been a member of an auditioned traveling praise and worship group called “IMPACT” since her freshman year. Meredith’s desire for all who hears her music is that they are impacted in a positive way and hopes you are able to relate to some of the issues she has gone through. Meredith considers herself the luckiest girl in the world for being blessed with the family and friends God has given her over the years! Always telling her friends “call me if you need me,” she loves being there to help support her friends and family through the good and bad times.. and hopes she can help you the same way, through what you hear. Meredith is a firm believer in God and most importantly- hopes to help turn people to Him through what she sings. She is so grateful and absolutely ecstatic about the doors God has opened for her in the pursuit of her dreams over the past two years. Her daddy always says “the best is yet to be”, and Meredith agrees 100% ! For more information, you can contact Meredith by sending a myspace message or through email: meredith@herdrecords.com

I LoVe you!!I hope you are able to find some sort of comfort through your problems through my music and know that you are not alone. Turn to Jesus and He WILL take care of it all!!"
When things go wrong as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit... By all means pray, and don't you quit. Success is failure turned inside out, God's hidden gift in the clouds of doubt.
You never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems afar. So trust in the Lord when you're hardest hit... It's when things go wrong that you must not quit!

A love so sacred and divine. A love that I can now call mine. A love so beautiful, real and true. A love like you Lord, a love that is you. A love that nurtures, heals and cares. A love that speaks to me in tenderness and brings me to tears. A love that is free for all to cherish, and given by one so that none should perish. A love that strengthens me, as it draws me towards you. I witness your miracle an am cleansed anew. A love so kind as it fills my mind. I see your light and am no longer blind. A love for all time, a love that is mine. What a pleasure it is Lord, to love only you.
