~MERIDIANWEST
In an era of music where it has become the norm to have five members in a band, meridianwest has managed to create a giant wall of sound as a trio. With Mark Gibson on vocals/guitars, Ryan Magnani on bass guitar, and David Kittredge on the drums, each member's contributions are a powerful representation of their respective instruments and personalities. As talented as they are as individual musicians, it is when they come together on stage and play where they create an overall sound that is staggeringly unique. They have successfully combined the rawness and simplicity of the great rock bands from the 60's and 70's, with large atmospheric landscapes created by the artists of the 80's. Although meridianwest is constantly striving to create new sounds and types of songs, one element stays the same; they progressively become better musicians and songwriters with each song. Catch them in small clubs and music venues while you still can, because this band will not be contained in small spaces much longer.

I am curious why you guys broke up... you were the only band my wife and I would make the trip downtown to see... Honestly I hate going downtown, but going to a Mwest show as worth it... you guys have some real talent, I still listen to the fire is missing CD pretty often... hopefully the break up wasn't a disagreement in the band...
A very smart lady told me once that the main reason bands don't "hit it big" is because they break up. Don't give up, guys. Success in the music industry is an average of a 10-year journey BEFORE you get the credit you deserve. That's per band (per person), not cumulative. Y'all have everything else... just make sure you have the persistance, too. :-)
I remember first seeing you guys playing at the UT Roadtrip a couple of years ago and I got one of your demos. Y'all are good, so I hope you start playing again soon.
It's just a break right? I love my Meridian West blasting in my ipod as I jog down William Cannon listening to the beautiful vocals, drums and bass. I saw you on the line up for South Padre Music Fest, you still playing that gig? ~sage
Wow,this is really sad. I hope you don't stay away too long. You guys are very talented and even though the music business is the hardest to get a break in I still want to believe that someday, somehow the very talented will be heard. I've seen it happen many of times. Last year I won some tickets from you guys so I decided to bring my daughter who turned 13 years old to the show. It was such a treat and turned into one of the best birthdays for her. And we couldn't believe how nice you all were. It wasn't a fake doing it for the business nice, you could tell that you guys were just great guys. Enjoy your time off, recharge and give yourselves a break but don't stop the music. God gave you this gift for a reason. Good luck on whatever you guys do.
lol too cute ~ you put our birthday ~ did one of youz have a bd too and didn't tell us? well you guys really are cool people and hope you make it to dallas to play somewhere soon. have a great week.
