I enjoy going to the threatre & fine dining. I like to see live rock concerts & good old pub bands. I like the idea of listening to Jazz in the Hunter Valley wine growing region.
I am content being on the internet with people or playing simulated or adventure games on the PC to playing Sony games. I like watching Discovery & National Geographics. I'm an Australian Aboriginal. My tribal nations are Bundjalung [between Yamba and just north of the Gold Coast] & Biripi [between Forster to Kempsy]. Aboriginal nations do not include the division of Australian States.
Through extended families I have an affiliation with people of the Worimi, Awabakal & Waka Waka Nations.
My mother claims we have relatives from Italy & Lebanon. They are from the cane cutters who were working the the mid to north cane fields many years ago.
I was born in Newcastle. I resided in Purfleet [Taree South] with my parents. My parents separated, my mother heard that he government was still removing children from single mothers. She moved to Brisbane where we resided at a haven for migrants. Before 1967 Aboriginal people were not considered Australians therefore Aboriginal were accepted at the migrant hostel called OPAL House.
I went to many primary schools in Brisbane & one high school. I was abandoned by my mother as a teen. I realised I had to cope on my own and am still a person who is still content to live alone. I worked at many nursing homes, QLD Spastic centre, Royal Brisbane Hospital.
I have two daughter & five grand-children all of whom I adore dearly. Sadly one of my grand-daughters died from SIDS. I empathyse with anyone who looses a child, the pain is so deep and slowly easing.
I have undertaken many certificates of study and still going...eternal student. I have worked as a nurse, children's aide, education officer & now Discovery Ranger with NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service. I would like to eventualy become a Medical Scientist as I would like to research various diseases.
I'm a loner, I have two very dear friends which I have known for many years. I am not looking for someone for a long term relationship, I know I would be too eccentric to live with. However I would like to meet people to go on outings together.
I don't believe in using people for wealth, power or position. I treat people as I would like to be treated. I am very empathetic to the needs & problems of other people.
