Which Vampire: The Masquerade clan do you belong in?

Wild and fiercely independant, Clan Gangrel is the home of the feral undead. Most Gangrel emulate the beasts of the wild, preferring to chase down their prey in the open country (in stark contrast to the city-dwelling proclivities of most vampires). Their avoidance of the vampires' ancestral foes, the werewolves, might be attributable to their impressive powers of shapeshifting. They cannot help but show some traces of their wild roots, however, as many Gangrel are marred with bizzarre, animalistic features.

Ellen Ripley from the "Alien" films. Princess Leia Organa from the "Star Wars" films. Marion Ravenwood from "Raiders of the Lost Ark." Sir David Attenborough from "Life on Earth," "Living Planet," etc. Howard Carter, the man who unearthed Tutankhamen's tomb. Pretty much people who don't take shit from anyone and who do their own thing. Then there are the men and women of the ASPCA force who put their lives on the line to help animals in need. The true heart of heroism!

About me:

After what seemed an eternity spent in community college and trying to figure out who I wanted to be when I grew up, I've come to the moment of clarity in my life. I am soon to begin my senior year in college and will hopefully be done and graduated by 2010. I have returned to my long-time passion of anthropology and merged an interest in archaeology and the Ice Ages with the desire to help solve climate problems in the Arctic. Did you know that they're seeing thunderstorms for the first time EVER up there? That new species are moving in and presenting a new series of problems for the ill-prepared Arctic folk? From my early years of childhood spent being amazed at the artifact collections of the Smithsonian's Museum of Natural History, to a more recent drive to join the fight to end climate change, it would seem that my path will eventually lead me north to Alaska for graduate school and perhaps even higher up into the Arctic for post-graduate research down the road. Have I lost my frickin mind, or is this simply the next big step in my grand adventure of life? Both, probably. To keep things interesting (as if that's difficult for me), I have decided to take on the study of shamanism in addition to my Druidic work in the Ancient Order of Druids in America. Though I do not choose to affiliate myself with any one particular culture as a shaman (though there's always been a leaning towards the Celtic path), I do believe that studying the shamanic practices of the Arctic's indigenous peoples will prepare me for a role as a sort of global shaman. What knowledge I will learn in the years to come and what wisdom I have gained in the process will most certainly also benefit others someday. But that is simply a goal that I patiently walk towards, for this present time is a period of reflection at the precipice of a new phase of spiritual as well as intellectual development.

Who I'd like to meet:

Intelligent, down-to-earth people who are not only able to never take life too seriously, but who are also open-minded and eccentric. Creativity's a must, especially when it comes to artistic expression. Goths and rivetheads are my cup of tea, not to mention that I seem to get along rather well with metalheads and punks. Many in the hip-hop and country-western communities, however, tend to think I'm some kind of alien. And because I'm a student of life as well as college, I'm always craving intellectual stimulation from other scholars like myself. I find I usually tend towards the nerds/geeks as far as those I get along with best, or anyone who's perfectly content to not give a flying crap about what others think of them. I think I'd also like to meet Gary Busey, Johnny Depp, Stephen J. Hawking, the Zeromancer guys, Samuel L. Jackson, Jack Nicholson, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Quentin Tarantino, Wes Craven, Bill Murray, Alan Rickman, Steven Spielberg, Jack Black, Dave Attell. =However, I DO NOT wish to meet: close-minded people of any religion or political affiliation; angry people; sports fanatics; people trying to convert me to their belief system; people who try to put up a front to impress me; guys who are so into rap or country and who haven't the slightest idea of what it means to be goth; people who take life too seriously; whiners; guys who smoke cigarettes; straitlaced, law-abiding citizens with no sense of adventure; racists; guys who are only interested in getting laid and not concerned with intellectual stimulation; alcoholics; people, especially guys, who are into heavy drugs (I can tolerate the low-end stuff, but tweak and the addictive crap I'll pass on).
