Take anything from me but my library card!!
I used to read mostly non-fiction (white papers, tech manuals, politics), but that’s damn boring. Over the past 5 years I’ve developed a deep love of fiction – except for Stephen King, whom I’ve been reading since I was 9. I tend towards sci-fi, fantasy, horror and anything twisted. Or weird. Or vaguely interesting. Oh hell, I’ll read anything.
The closer a tale gets to 10,000 pages, the better I like it.
Some of my all time favorites: Dark Tower series (and everything else) by Stephen King; Ender’s series by Orson Scott Card; Foundation series (and lots of stuff) by Issac Asimov; Harry Potter series by JK Rowling; Illium & Olympos by Dan Simmons; Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (this one might actually be over 10,000 pages!); Rama and 2001 series (and other fiction) by Arthur C Clarke; Novels, comics, children’s’ stories and every fuckin’ thing by Neil Gaiman
Some of my favorite recent reads: Lisey’s Story by Stephen King; Geek Love by Katherine Dunn; Porno by Irvine Welsh (the sequel to Trainspotting!); The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls; The Road by Cormac McCarthy; Shark Dialogues by Kiana Davenport; Life of Pi by Yann Martel

Mermaid: Mermaids are also known as Sirens. These creatures were beautiful women who tricked sailors into becoming completely entranced by their haunting voices and found death soon after. Not all stories of Mermaids are about gentle loving sea people. They are mystical, magical, and extremely dangerous. They have a way about them that brings anyone they are around to seem enchanted. They are very mysterious creatures and to meet one... Would mean certain Death. Let the song of the Sea fill your soul, for you are a Mermaid.
