MERMER is a straight-forward rock band from southern California started in 2004 by singer/songwriter Aaron Underwood and his cousin David Hoover. The band’s self titled, and self produced full length album was completed in June of 2007 and was the band’s first release.
Shortly after the release of the album, Aaron and David recruited Aaron’s long time friend, and guitarist Shaun Richmond. Shaun filled in on bass to complete the lineup until finally adding professional bassist Andy Zacharias, moving Shaun over to guitar.
The four have played many local venues including The Coach House, The Galaxy Theatre, and The Viper Room. The musical chemistry between these four friends is amazing, and comes across vividly in a live venue.
With the release of MERMER’s first album, there has been much positive feedback to follow. The band continues to build their growing fan base keeping the fans wanting more with the constant introduction of new music.
MERMER is scheduled to get back into the studio to record their second full length album in the summer of 2009.
