  • Movies

    My absolutely favourite movie of all time: A Fish Called Wanda! I LOVE John Cleese! I also love Clockwise, another movie by him. Other favourite films: Gandhi, The Color Purple, Waking Ned, The Full Monty, Notting Hill, Forrest Gump, Shakespeare In Love, Ray, Wallace & Gromit... just a little selection.

  • Television

    Some of my favourites are regular German programmes, such as "Wiso", "frontal 21", "Johannes B. Kerner", "aspekte" but also "Ein Fall für zwei", "Der Adler" (a German-Danish co-production), "Soko Leipzig". My favourite international programmes are: "King of Queens", "Golden Girls" and Inspector Barnaby (I..m not sure about the English title).

    Kate Karko, "Namma"; Marjorie Shostack, "Nisa erzählt" and "Ich folgte den Trommeln der Kalahari" (two books about her encounter and friendship with a San woman who told her her life-story); Mende Nazer, "Slave" Recently, I have read, and highly recommend, the following: "Sahara" by Michael Palin, "Lotti, La Blanche" by Gabriella Baumann-von Arx and "John" by Cynthia Lennon. At the moment, I..m reading "Tales Of The Country" by Brian Viner - very funny, check it out!

Hi! My name is "merseyrose" and I live in Germany. I..ve studied English and Spanish and lived in England for eleven months in between my studies and England has been my "second home" since then. Most of all, I love Liverpool, which I visit as often as I can. This city simply has a unique atmosphere.
