KNOWLEDGE MAG (KMAG) INTERVIEW - DEC'07
I first got introduced to music from an early age, thanks to my influential parents who bombarded me with a combination of Jazz, Soul, Old Jamaican Ska music and the beatles (?). From the age of about 13 I got into UK and US hip-hop which began my passion for writing and freestyling - after listening avidly to De La Soul, A tribe called quest, Q-tip, Biggie, NWA, and Tupac - I then moved slowly more and more into the UK hip-hop side of things. At the age of about 16 I got heavily into drum n bass from listening to Fabio and Grooverider, 1 in the Jungle tapes and the progression sessions cd's. This is when i began to fuse my Hip-Hop ryhmes into Drum n Bass. My early Drum n Bass influences came from the likes of Fabio, Danny Bukem, E-Z Rollers, Omni Trio, Shy FX, Goldie and Roni Size and the Represent movement and I was always into the deeper flow MC's such as Moose, Fats, Conrad, DRS and Navigator ----------- -------- ----------- ---------- ------------------ ------------- ------------- --------- --------- --------- ----- - I then took my passion to University in Norwich where i hooked up with the BOUNCE records crew (Scheme, Mark Frequency, LSB, Steve and Force). I really began to 'find my feet' and work on a deeper side of lyrical rhythm whilst maintaining my 'party' attitude to it all. Since hooking up with the BOUNCE records crew it all started moving a whole lot faster for me, once i was given this respected platform. Over my (fairly short) career I have had the pleasure of working with many of the scenes biggest DJ's/producers, such as Dillinja, Lemon D, The Scrath Perverts, Simon 'Bassline' Smith, AI, EZ Rollers, Commix, Nu:Tone, Logistics, Heist (Strider), Kenny Ken, DJ Fresh, DJ Clipz, Pascal, Spinback, Blame, Pendulum, Friction, D-Bridge, Bailey, Flight, Bryan G, Mosus, Alix Perez, Breakage, Break, Kara, High Contrast, Danny Byrd, Utah Jazz, Cyantific and krust. I have also had the great pleasure of performing at nights such as Hospitality (Herbal), Movement (Bar Rumba), Desire (The Scala), BOUNCE (The Waterfront, Sonic, Lava, Po Na Nas), Overload (The Thekla), Breakdown (The Cellar), Flavaunit, serious sounds (The Junction), Warning (The Junction), Adrenalin Rush, Heineken Download Festival (Slovakia), Springfestival (Austria)pulsar, V56, Random Concept/Accelerated Culture (Air/Brunel Rooms), AWOL/Ignition (Ministry of sound), DNBA (Ministry of Sound), HQ (Oxford), Signal (Bristol), Concrete Dub (Bristol), Ambush (Bristol)....and a whole host of other nights, raves and festivals up and down the UK and abroad. I am also the label reprentative MC for SONOROUS MUSIC and work very Closely with DJ Hayze- I am also sponsored by the nu:urban clothing range - THTC (www.THTC.co.uk) -------- ---------- ---------- ----------- ------------ ------------ ----------- --------- --- --------------- ---------- ---------- ----------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ------- ---- ---I have recently joined forces and began working with scene veterans The EZ Rollers as part of their live act. This is a 6 peice live band, with a few major twists. We are currently touring promoting the latest Album 'CONDUCTOR' on which i have collaborated and provided vocals for. ------ Look out for a nationwide and worldwide tour - playing at a venue near you soon. -------- ----------- --------------- ------------ --------------- -------------- ---------- ------------ ----------------- -------------- ----------- ------- ----------- ------------- I also works closely with LSB, Scheme, Rubiks records (Malfoy/Lomax/Kubiks - currently working on a forthcoming BOUNCE release)Hayze and Shuffle, Alix Perez, Utah Jazz, Sabre, the Commix duo Guy and George and Matty Logistics. . ------- ----------- ----------- -------------- ------------- ------------- ------------- ------------ ------------ ------------ ------------ ------------ ------------- ------------- -------------- ----------- ----------- -------------- -------------- --------------- ------------ ----------- ------------ 2008 has seen me locked deep in the studio working on all sorts of differetn projexts. Look out for my hip-hop/dubstep mixtape under construction and I am also working with LSB on a ;live project.... WATCH THIS SPACE

To continue my track by track upload of my forthcoming mixtape, I have now uploaded Wasting Time. It’s chilled, melodic and insightful (I think). Production by Leeds collective Organised Mess.
I’ve also got a new blog up called All Release Dates Are Off!!! which contains more of the same silliness and ridiculous pictures as previous blogs.
When u get a few minutes please swing by and check em both out and if possible, leave me a comment. Hey Micky went down a treat so hopefully this one does the trick as well.
