Messy Jiverson, a motivating force out of the midwest, quickly formed after a group of accomplished musicians collaborated on an album in the summer of 2007. After years of experience in several major cities across the U.S., Messy Jiverson became the foundation of the group's objective to come together and seriously make a statement. The consensus from the beginning was to explore conceptual sounds that touched on several aspects of the groups favorite genres, including funk, soul, disco, and psychedelic rock. A younger crowd in St. Louis swiftly grabbed on to the concrete rhythms and danceable melodies of the original music that later contributed to Messy's Debut Album, dusted and busted, which was self-released on Jan. 30th, 2008. The CD features several vintage instruments, tube amplifiers, and was recorded live to 2-track cassette tape, a practice that hits close to home with several of the group's members. Most recently, the group made their festival Debut at Schwagstock 37 in Salem, MO. Several members of Messy Jiverson performed as part of the SuperJam late Saturday night, which featured EOTO and other members of The String Cheese Incident. Messy Jiverson performed its own set on the main stage the following day, moving the crowd with its original vibrations.
