Dear Myspace,
I have a big problem with the fact that my generation really doesn't care about anything. They're so locked up in their text messaging and myspace and crying over stupid high school relationships to see anything going on in the world around them.
For that matter I have a problem with the general population not really caring about anything. No one seems to really be hung up on or interested in the fact that they are alive, aware, and EXIST in general. People are condemned for exploring their existence and awareness, for questioning those who are deciding how the world runs. Most young people simply accept the ideals that are shoved down our throats by our parents, government, elders and general populace. No one cares to be their own person or decide things for themselves, and if they do, they are condemned, how dare they think for themselves and not lead carbon copy lives like the ones our previous generation is so miserably tolerating. Prescription drugs to stop people from thinking and questioning the world around them are taken in giant proportions every day, while substances and practices that encourage thinking outside the material and conceptual realities that we consider so solid and important are condemned simply BECAUSE they make you think and question the world and how things are, that is the reason given to us, and people simply go, oh yeah, that makes sense, wouldn't want people thinking differently or any CRAZY wizardry like that.
The government and law enforcement is not the perfect error free machine that a lot of people seem to imagine it is. It is not run by special people who have special qualifications that allow them to know what is best for the world. They are normal people, just like everyone else, whose JOB just so happens to be deciding how the world is going to be run. They get PAID to do this, that is their primary concern. No one running for an office is going to concede to whomever they know is the better candidate, because they want the JOB more than they care about what is best for others. This brings me back to the fact that NO ONE CARES. Unconstitutional laws are in place and being enforced all the time, and no one cares to bring it up. They think it doesn't effect them directly so why should they bother? Get back to omg TXT msging and omg need to go shopping for new shoes and brand names and STUPID FUCKING IMPERMANTANT BULLSHIT. Wahh these things are important and I'll just die if things don't go my way and-NO. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. SHUT. UP.
The sixties need to happen again, except this time the changes need to stick around. Little high schoolers pretend to care about the war and like to criticize the government, but that is because it is trendy to do so. They simply repeat what they hear others say when they really know jack shit about what is going on around them. How 'bout we have another draft, then we'll see how important your little camera phone is to you.
YOU'RE ALIVE DAMMIT. WAKE, THE FUCK, UP.
