Born in Riverside, CA, Ramon "Metafisix" Varela grew up as your everyday child of sorts. In a household of two parents and three brothers, he was able to understand many different aspect of life from all age groups which would later fuel his ability to reach many in the subject matter that was touched on. Finding an interest in all sorts of music from the beginning, Metafisix always kept an ear for something that intrigued beyond the obvious. He kept a keen understanding of music beyond the surface.
After moving to El Paso, TX at the age of ten, Metafisix began to develop in his writing abilities. He found comfort in poetry and rhythm from middle school on which lead to many missed assignments and a slump in grades. Still this was not meant to be confused with stupidity because his knowledge still flourished with age. He began writing lyrics in his sophomore year of high school with fellow classmates who took on the same interests as he. This started the beginning of a path and eventual passion in Hip Hop music. With a taste for all genres from hip hop to country, Metafisix found ease in penning lyrics. Choosing to veer from trendy radio material, he realized his ability to touch on more personal material in which the everyday listener could relate to.
Considering himself to be a "blue collar artist," Metafisix has gained his acclaim through his mixtapes and extra push from radio rotation of his remixes for artists such as Amerie, E-40, Chris Brown, and Lil' Kim. His buzz in the southwest continues to grow as he remains determined to maintain his fan base through countless mixtapes, guest appearances, and eventual full length releases entitled "Care To Elaborate" and "Insomniacs," a collaborative effort with Bumsquad DJ Metronix.
Metafisix continues to support his local scene along with his In Depth Music imprint and plans to make the coming years even more spectacular than the ones prior. He guarantees that his music will remain "everyday related" and that he will live up to his "blue collar" persona.
