Formation of BLASTER was back in 1995 while Tugrul was a high school student in a small city of central Anatolia, Nigde. He has been the one and the unique person in the band for a long time since there was not any metal head in the vein of speed thrash in Nigde. BLASTER’s first demos were recorded on tape and after some time on cd, but he never thought to release them out for listeners as those were the early days for BLASTER and did not reflect the available potential exactly.
After professionally focusing on music by being accepted to department of music in the university, Tuðrul majored on BLASTER more. Then during 2001, Tuðrul met two true thrash metal fans, Tolga Baþol and Emre Yücel who also want to play thrash like him. After this formation, first product of BLASTER was released in 2002 named as BLASTER. This demo was totally 46 minutes and got very good feedbacks from lots of metal fans.
After graduating from university, Tolga and Emre left the band due to their just begun professional business life and Tugrul continued his way alone during his first years as music teacher in Kocaeli Kefken again. He rerecorded the first demo by also revising some songs and patterns to reflect the progress in his musical status and released it under the name of Chaotic Noise. During those days drummer Goremaster (Suicide, Cenotaph), guitarist Erkan Doner (Solitude) and bassist Ozkan Tosun (Solitude) were heard of this demo due to lots of appreciating feedbacks from metal listeners from both Turkey and abroad. They decided on playing together but after some time Tugrul attended to army to complete military service so this formation was ended. After the completion of military service in 2005, bassist Ali Ozturk (Dementia) and guitarist Deniz Salgam attended BLASTER line up composed of Tugrul and Goremaster at that time. Then in 2006, bassist Gurdal Sonmez (Discordia) attended BLASTER and final line up was formed. For the last 3 years Goremaster and Tugrul have composed and arranged the old and new songs from a different perspective resulted from their musical infrastructure. After Gurdal’s collaboration, music became more technical and progressive whereas Deniz’s heavy thrash effect is another contribution. The debut CD is now on mixing phase and will be released soon.
Tim Owens (ex-Judas Priest, ex-Iced Earth), Dave Ellefson (ex-Megadeth), Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) ve Jimmy Degrasso (ex-Megadeth)'dan oluşan efsanevi kadrosuyla Hail! İstanbullu müzikseverlere unutulmaz bir gece yaşatmaya hazırlanıyor!
